This sensational safari adventure to Kruger National Park, picks up from OR Tambo airport or pre-arranged lodges in Johannesburg before transferring through to the Motlala Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Looking on the Map, this reserve is based in the mid-section of Kruger National Park near Hoedspruit, giving you the best of the Northern and Southern parts, plus easy access visiting the famous Panoramic route on the way back.
The tour includes an open vehicle sunset game drive in Motlala Game Reserve, one full-day exploring Kruger National Park with a passionate guide and a magical sunrise bushwalk alongside the lush Klaserie River during the tour. Each evening, we take in the authentic African bush sounds and wild smells under the stars while enjoying a selection of tasty meals and a traditional African bushveld braai (barbeque) over the four days.
On the last day, we leave the Greater Kruger Park, we follow the scenic drive back to Johannesburg via the Panorama Route to view the Three Rondavels which stand sentry over the Blyde River Canyon.
Accommodation Overview:
This amazing bush camp lodge is located in the Motlala Game Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park; perfectly located near the gates of the iconic Kruger National Park and Hoedspruit region. On the first night, we stay over in en-suite chalets. Thereafter, we experience sleeping over in pre-erected tented accommodation (consisting of either double beds or 4 bedded sharing tents).
The pre-erected safari accommodation tents are rustic but made comfortable with full bedding, electricity, fans and mosquito nets. Blended into the African bush with the sights, sounds and scents of the wild animals coming down from the river, this safari experience is as real as it gets.
4 Day Kruger Park Tour Information and Facts
DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG – KRUGER PARK ( 5 Hours travelling approximately 388 Kilometers )
After pick-up, from either OR Tambo Airport or a pre-arranged hotel/guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria, heading eastwards en-route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province. Leaving the wide-open spaces of the Highveld and stopping for lunch (own expense) the journey takes us down the escarpment and through the scenic rolling hills of the Lowveld region.
Checking into the bush Lodge early afternoon; there is ample time to freshen up or rest in your chalet before transferring to an open Land cruiser for an exciting late afternoon game drive. After sunset, we stop at the famous Marula Boma for a memorable traditional BBQ dinner before retiring for a good night’s sleep.

DAY 2: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Waking early to the incredible sounds of wildlife, (5h30-6h00) we embark on a full-day safari, exploring Kruger National Park in search of many species of wild animals, birds and exotic insects, during the course of the day, stopping at a popular rest camp for lunch and souvenir shopping, (own expense) returning to the Tented bush Lodge late afternoon. Another amazing night is enjoyed around the boma fireplace enjoying another authentic African meal.

Included: Breakfast, Kruger Park Game drive, Evening dinner, Twin bed tent accommodation.

DAY 3: KRUGER PARK – JOHANNESBURG
After breakfast, we join our open vehicle game viewer before entering the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park. The vehicle’s extra elevation and not having windows, allow for excellent animal viewing and photographic opportunities. Your professional safari guide will help you search for many various animals, large and small, that roam the wilds of the bush care-free. The mid-section of Kruger national Park has the highest percentage population of Giraffe, Zebra and Antelope that attract numerous Lions and other predators. This part of the Kruger, is known for the highest concentration of Lions in Africa! Leaving Kruger Park, we look forward to dinner prepared for us at our overnight bush camp.

DAY 4: KRUGER PARK – JOHANNESBURG
This morning after waking early, we set off for a 1-hour sunrise bush walk along the Klaserie River with a professional safari guide before a hearty breakfast back at the bush camp lodge.
After breakfast, we depart mid-morning for the trip returning to Johannesburg. We travel via the scenic Panorama Route witnessing the beautiful Three Rondavels (subject to availability due to time or bad weather) stopping for a bite to eat and refreshments along the way. (Own expense)
Arriving early evening (17h00) in Johannesburg, we drop you off at OR Tambo International Airport or your guest lodge where the trip began.

What to bring:
Please try to keep your luggage to a minimum, also bearing in mind that most airlines impose a 20kg limit. Bring a soft backpack or rucksack along with a smaller day bag with a mixture of lightweight and warm clothing for the evenings and early morning game drives.
Bedding is provided. Therefore, you will not need a sleeping bag or extra pillow.
As in travelling anywhere in the world, we recommended you pack a small torch or headlamp, mosquito spray and a wallet or pouch with all your personal papers and cash that can be easily hidden on you in person or in your carry on day bag. Try to avoid bringing unnecessary valuables just for peace of mind.
A torch or head lamp will always come in handy.
Mosquito repellent is always great to have, especially in the summer months.
Sunscreen and a hat.
Comfortable walking shoes and swim wear for walking or swimming.
Bring a phone charger and get hold of a South African two pin plug socket for your charger.
Introduction To Kruger National Park safari.
Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in the World, conserving nature since 1926. Not only is it the biggest, Kruger National Park is also the most iconic game reserve in Africa. Kruger Park covers an astonishing 2.1 million hectares, stretched across 2 of South Africa’s 9 provinces; namely Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Kruger National Park has nine main gates which are used as access to the many different camps.

Kruger National Park is located in the north-east end of South Africa. 2 rivers act as the natural borders of Kruger. To the North, we have the Limpopo River, and to the South, we have the Crocodile River. To the east of Kruger National Park. we have the Lebombo Mountain range which separates Kruger from Mozambique. The Western border runs parallel to the park stretching around 65km’s. The highest point of Kruger National Park is in the east, 840m above sea level. This hill is known as Khandzalive.

The climate of the Kruger National Park is subtropical, meaning summer days are often very hot with temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius. Kruger’s rainy season falls from September to May. Viewing wildlife is more rewarding as the vegetation is sparser and animals are drawn to the waterholes to drink every morning and evening.

Mammals – All of the big 5 can be located in the Kruger National Park, which also plays host to more species of large mammals than any other nature reserve in Africa which an astonishing 147 species. Kruger National Park protects a few packs of the endangered African wild dog of which there are thought to be only about 400 in the whole of South Africa.
Reptiles – Kruger National Park has an amazing 114 species of reptile, including Puff Adder, Black Mamba and more than 4000 crocodiles
